About the
Founder
Meredith
Trotter, founder
of Pulse PR
brings a diverse
background of
radio and public
relations to the
company. Trotter
made the
decision to go
out on her own
in March 2004
after she came
across many
companies who
had great
products or
services to
offer, but
didn't know how
to market
themselves. She
knew that it was
her calling to
help these
companies
succeed and
decided to leave
her job and
start her own
venture.
Trotter started
her career in
1994 at age 17
while she was a
student at
Temple
University. She
interned with
B101 radio in
Bala Cynwyd and
continued to
work with the
company
throughout her
four years of
college. She
also worked at
KYW Newsradio as
a desk
assistant.
After graduation
and unsure of
the path she
wanted to
follow, Trotter
was hired as an
assistant at
Clear Channel
Radio Sales. She
worked there for
six months, but
left in 1999 to
accept a
position at
Fusion Public
Relations, a
High Tech PR
firm in New York
City. Trotter
commuted to New
York from
Philadelphia for
two years
working on
accounts such as
Panasonic and
Lucent. She
enjoyed her job,
but the commute
was wearing on
her and she was
not ready to
leave
Philadelphia.
In 2001, Trotter
was hired as a
PR Manager by
UnREAL Marketing
Solutions, an
interactive
marketing and
advertising
agency based in
Narberth, PA.
She helped the
company get the
recognition that
they deserved by
placing them in
publications
such as
Philadelphia
Business
Journal,
Philadelphia
Inquirer,
Computer User
Magazine, New
York Times and
The Wall Street
Journal. She is
also responsible
for the
company's
acknowledgement
as the 11th
fastest growing
company in the
Philadelphia
region (Philly
100) and their
CEO winning the
Philadelphia
Business
Journal's 40
under 40 and the
Greater
Philadelphia
Chamber of
Commerce's Young
Entrepreneur of
the Year award.
Trotter is very
involved in the
community and
volunteers with
organizations
such as
Philadelphia
Animal Welfare
Society (PAWS),
Morris Animal
Refuge, Jewish
Heritage
Programs, and
The Multiple
Sclerosis
Society. She was
also on the
Small Business
Excellence
Awards Committee
for the
Philadelphia
Chamber of
Commerce. |
